Crucible

Created by Michael Sommers, March 2010

When Skewed Visions proposed the Cubicle project I immediately talked to Darren (the puppet in the film) and was awestruck by his concepts to explore the notion of  “Cubicle” in the context of a “live-puppet” animation. The idea of a test, e.g. a crucible/a cubicle, may have sprung from Darren’s most recent work as John Proctor in a regional marionette theatre tour of A. Miller’s play “The Crucible”, or from the fact that he is a puppet and stored in a box. The edit you are viewing was presented in haste and excitement. So Darren and I apologize for the tedious real time of actually being in a cubicle.

Enjoy-

I hope this is just the first of a bunch of videos. Super entertaining and the set looks vast. Massive proportions possible with minimal time.
